SHCS Academics

At Sacred Heart Cathedral School, Renaissance Intelligence helps teachers connect assessment data with purposeful, personalized instruction. Students complete Star assessments three times each year—in the fall, winter, and spring—to identify strengths, monitor growth, and determine areas where additional support or enrichment is needed. Teachers use these results to plan targeted, differentiated instruction for small groups and individual students, incorporating resources from Freckle, Lalilo, Nearpod, Flocabulary, myON, and Accelerated Reader. This approach helps teachers respond to students’ learning needs, reinforce essential skills, and provide appropriate challenges as students grow throughout the school year.
